POKER HANDS RANKING OF BEST POKER HANDS
Poker games played in casinos or online are all played with a deck of 52 cards.
Jokers or wild cards are never used.
In all the poker games, except for Draw poker, the suits have no distinct value for ranking of the best poker hands.
In Draw poker, the spade is the most valuable suit, followed by hearts, clubs and diamonds.(can vary from place to place, so make sure you know the highest value before you sit down to play.
There are 13 cards of each suit and the highest-ranking card is the ace followed by the king, queen, jack, 10 and all the way down
to the 2.
Aces are unique in the sense that the can also be used as the lowest card in the deck.
For example; A-2-3-4-5 is the lowest straight and A-K-Q-J-10 is the highest straight possible in poker.
Most poker games are played as high games, meaning the highest hand wins.
However, there are games like 7 card stud hi/low and Omaha hi/low where both the highest and the lowest hand wins. In Lowball poker, only the lowest hand wins.
